Weird

Angi tagged me for the Weird meme. I've put off doing it till now because, believe it or not, I had to think about it! The things most people think are weird about me are normal amongst fibre freaks so I was a bit stuck.

Anyway, here goes.

SIX WEIRD THINGS ABOUT ME

THE RULES: Each player of this game starts with the ‘6 weird things about you.’ People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 6 weird things as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don’t forget to leave a comment that says ‘you are tagged’ in their comments and tell them to read your blog.

1. I can write quite legibly upside down.
2. Most people think I'm weird for living in the UK when I could be living in Australia. 
3. I don't watch TV.
4. I read the Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkein at least once a year (and I can just about recite the movies word perfect!)
5. I knit socks? What's with that? (from non-knitting Muggles)
6. I've never smoked cigarettes or taken illegal drugs. Nor been tempted to.

I think I'm the last blogger on the planet to be tagged for this so I'm not going to tag anyone. If you haven't done it and feel the need to reveal your weirdness - go ahead. But tell me about it so I can compare! :-)

I'm Baaaaack!

Mostly anyway. I haven't yet discovered what I've lost off the old hard drive because I'm using a new one and have been too chicken to look at the old one!

No Saturday Sky today but hopefully things will now get back to normal!

Disaster!

My home computer crashed last Saturday and I've lost everything. So far I've been unable to get it up and running again and its beginning to look like I might be buying a new computer.

This post is really just to let everyone (including my SP9!) know that I am still alive and knitting but won't be posting all that regularly for the next (hopefully) short while. I'm reduced to getting in to work at 7.30am so I can do a bit of stealth blogging!

I will return - that's a promise! :-)

Two posts in one day? Hmmmmm... methinks Spinning Sue is on hols from work!

Updated fog picture. Its even heavier now than it was this morning. Sounds as though its quite widespread too. Laura in London has a foggy view of the M1 and Silvia can't see the field at the back of her house up north in Yorkshire.

The postie bought a lovely surprise today - a parcel from my SP9!! Love the card! It's a stripey snowman err... cat with a real stripey cat next to it. Cocoa, sweets and some gorgeous body products. Fantastic wash cloth and two balls of Sugar & Cream! Like most knitters, I always want the stuff I can't get locally and I've read lots on the 'net about this yarn and now I have some. Fab colours too! Thank you SP9 for such a lovely parcel!

Bleak

In the bleak midwinter indeed!

This is the result of recent mild weather and lots of rain followed by quite a dramatic drop in temperature. Fog. It's not as thick as last night. We even made the regional news last night as a place where visibility would be particularly bad. They said 50 metres but I think it was even less than that.

The Hostage Returned

Yesterday, at a secret location, the hostage was returned. The poor camera had been through a terrible ordeal. Forced to perform strange deeds by someone who admits she's 'got the clap'...

This is the 'real' Saturday Sky pic that I couldn't post on Saturday. Its taken in the Malvern Hills looking east over the Severn valley. I love it up here but I always forget just how steep it is!
